She graduated in 1995 and began a 26-year career as a small animal veterinarian, including 22 years covering at practices in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. After a 4-year stint in the mortgage banking industry, she migrated north again, eventually finishing her pre-requisites at Temple University before starting veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania.
